Warranty

The following release refers to specific entities and/or persons as follows:


-(Contractor), The (Contractor) refers to and is not limited to Executive Tile and Glass, its Agent(s) and/or Owner. Sub Contractors hired by Executive Tile and Glass and/or its agent(s)/Owner.


-(Construction), (Construction) refers to any and all work done by Executive Tile and Glass, its Agent(s) and/or Owner. Sub Contractors hired by Executive Tile and Glass and/or its agent(s)/Owner.


Executive Tile and Glass ("Contractor") hereby guarantees that the construction performed on that certain structure to be free from defects in workmanship for Life (Limited lifetime warranty)* Product warranty falls under the individual product failure and its warranty scope. 


Glass installations come with a Limited** 10 year Warranty from the date of commencement of use, substantial completion or the date of notice of completion, whichever is the first to occur:


This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:

1. To the property only as long as it remains in the possession of the original owner named above.

2. To the construction work that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse and has been cared for as per products used and their appropriate manufacturers instructions.

3. To the construction work that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted by others.

4. That contractor be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defect by owner or his agent.

5. That contractor shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements or corrections to the defective construction at no cost to owner within a reasonable period of time. These repairs will only be done at no cost under the terms that it is being done as Warranty repairs. If repairs required are deemed outside of the Warranty scope a $350 consultation fee will be charged plus any additional materials and labour @ $120/hour.

6. Under no circumstances shall contractor be liable by virtue of this warranty or otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary or consequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because of the construction defect.

The warranty does not cover defects or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse or improper maintenance, failure to follow instructions, or use with equipment with which it is not intended to be used. It doesn’t cover cosmetic or incidental damages. Also, the warranty will not apply to damage caused by unauthorized alteration, modification or repair of the product. Use of chemicals that alters the effectiveness of a product is considered abuse. Executive Tile and Glass does not warrant or provide service or support for any third party products.


Text & Email conversations of the Piece are considered part of the agreed terms.

The Workmanship is warranted so long as all steps outlined by the manufacturer have been followed, therefore the warranty will be based on the failed product in question and whether or not it still falls under warranty coverage.

25 year defects warranty. This warranty only applies to Executive spec builds and will be marked in bold on your estimate.


Executive Tile and Glass does not authorize anyone, including Executive Tile and Glass Representatives, to make any statements, which may supersede, modify or supplement the information provided on its printed literature or package labels without written confirmation from Executive Tile and Glass. Any installations proceeding without this confirmation, or mis-installations of the product, will void the warranty. 


This warranty also does not cover improper or defective installation of the sealer or coating products that are applied by the Client or non qualified individuals/businesses; improper maintenance of the finished installation that results in aesthetic and/or performance problems; substrate failure resulting in the delamination of the product(s) and/or failure of the finished installation; cracks that develop after the application of the product(s) that are a result of the substrate and/or substrate movement; aesthetic issues with the finished Product Topping(s) installation, such as color, shade and mottle and trowel lines from placement of Trowelable Toppings.


EXECUTIVE TILE AND GLASS SELLS ITS PRODUCTS UPON THE CONDITION THAT CLIENT SHALL CONDUCT THEIR OWN TESTS TO DETERMINE THE SUITABILITY OF THE PRODUCTS FOR THE CLIENTS INTENDED PURPOSES. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL EXECUTIVE TILE AND GLASS BE LIABLE FOR ECONOMIC, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR OCCASIONED BY THE SELECTION, USE, STORAGE CONDITIONS, INSTALLATION OR REPLACEMENT OF PRODUCT ON A PIECE POST COMPLETION.


(These are for reference only to understand estimate timelines. Refer to each individual product for its Tech Data.)

Cure Times

-Self Leveler starts at 4 Hours minimum (dependent on Piece requirement)

-Drypack (custom shower base) Starts at 24 hours (dependent on Piece size)

-Mastic 24 hours. (not for wet areas)

-Thin-set/Mortar starts at 3 hours in between coats (dependent on Piece requirement, membranes, heat, tile size...)

-Most Grouts NEED 72 hours to properly cure.

-Epoxy Grouts NEED 72 hours to properly cure.

-Silicone needs minimum 24 hours to commence use, refer to usage chart.

-Nothing should come into contact with grout/silicone during this time.

-Drilling can be done after 24 hours.*

-Light, dry foot traffic can commence on floor tiles within 24 hours of grout application.

-Humidity level must be kept to a minimum and a constant for 72 hours post Piece completion, between 17C - 35C below 60% relative.

-72 hours for heavy traffic, wet foot traffic.

-Temperature should not fluctuate during this time.

Failure to follow the Cure Time guidelines outline on estimate or text... will void the Warranty


*Drilling can only be done by Executive Tile and Glass or a qualified coring specialist that can provide a warranty for breaking the waterproofing barrier and risk to adjacent tile surface/substrate. Warranty Void otherwise.
